Affiliate disclosure
The short version: some links here earn us a commission, you pay the same either way, nobody pays to be featured, and the cellar doors themselves are open to anyone who brings a driver, whether you ever book a tour or not.
Which links are affiliate links
Every "Check availability" button, and every in-text link that opens a listing, points to GetYourGuide or Viator and carries our partner tag. One of the ten tours is sold on GetYourGuide and the other nine on Viator. If you book after clicking one, the platform pays us a share of the commission it already earns from the operator. Your price is identical to the price you would see going straight to that listing, because our cut comes out of the platform's margin and is never added to your ticket.
Those two platforms are the only affiliate relationships on this site. There is no display advertising, no sponsored posts and no paid reviews. If a third network is ever added, this page and the footer disclosure will name it before the first link goes live, not after.
The parts of a Kelowna wine day that pay us nothing
Worth saying plainly, because for some travellers they are the better answer. If someone in your party will happily stay on water for the day, you can self-drive the region and visit cellar doors directly, and nothing about that earns us a cent. The tastings you pay for at the door, typically C$10 to C$20 per person for a standard flight and commonly waived if you buy a bottle, go straight to the winery. So does a table you book yourself at a winery restaurant, a hire car, and the lake itself. The one part of your day we can earn on is a guided tour with the driving handled, and where self-driving with a sober driver is the better call, the guides say so.
Even within the tours, we flag the honest end of the range rather than padding it. Seven of the ten listings publish a Canadian-dollar from-price, starting at C$115 per person, and each is a floor that moves with the date, the option and the group size. The three that show no confirmed price until you open them say exactly that on the card rather than being dressed up with a number we could not stand behind.
What it does not change
- Inclusion. Every tour that clears the tests is here: a real, currently bookable Kelowna or Okanagan wine day with published figures that survived two independent verification passes. Ten listings cleared it. Where one operator runs more than one product, as a couple of them do, those appear as the separate days they actually are, not the same day sold twice.
- Ordering. No operator can buy a position and none has been offered one. Where a section leads with one tour, that tour is chosen on the honest strength of its listing, not on what it pays, and you can check the ratings and review counts printed on the cards yourself.
- What we say about them. Ratings across the lineup run from 4.5 to 5.0 stars, each the platform's own published figure, and the cards print every one at its real sample size: a thin private day of twenty-odd reviews sits next to the most-reviewed day on the site, and the spread is left as it is rather than smoothed.
- What we leave out. Where a listing's Canadian-dollar price could not be pinned down on two independent reads, the card carries no number and sends you to the live listing instead of a guess. A price you cannot confirm is not a price, and it would have paid commission exactly like the ones we could confirm.
- Things we earn nothing from. Self-driving with a sober driver, the door tastings, a restaurant lunch you book yourself, the lake and the drive. They still get their say wherever they beat a paid ticket.
Ratings, review counts and prices
Every rating and review count on this site is the platform's own published number at the time we checked it, read off the live listing and then confirmed a second time on an independent pass before it was printed. Nothing is averaged across platforms, rounded up or invented, and where the two checks disagreed the figure was re-pinned with a live search or left off the page rather than smoothed over. Across the ten tours the ratings run from 4.5 to 5.0 stars, each shown at its real number of reviews.
Prices work the same way and come with a bigger caveat. What you see is a current from-price, the cheapest option on that listing when it was read, and seven of the ten publish one we could verify in Canadian dollars, from C$115 per person, with two of those seven priced per group rather than per head. What you actually pay moves with the date, the option you pick, the group size and the currency the platform shows you, so the live listing is always the authority. The remaining three did not return a confirmed figure on two passes, so their cards send you to the listing rather than carrying a number we could not stand behind. A price that reads differently in two places usually means the platform is showing you a localised currency, not that the operator has put its fee up.
If you would rather not use our links
Search the operator's name on GetYourGuide or Viator directly, or find the operator's own website and book there. Teehouse Wine Tours, Vines & Views Wine Tours, Vivid Tours and Red Dog Wine Tours run tours listed here, and the others are named on their cards wherever the listing publishes an operator. We would genuinely rather you got out among the cellar doors on whichever tour suits you. The comparisons, the cost breakdown, the FAQ and the guides work exactly as well as research whether or not you ever click a booking link.
Questions about any of this: email us. How the listings are checked in the first place is on the about page.
